Pottery Studio Technician
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Pottery Studio Technician to join our team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the studio. You will work closely with the Studio Lead to maintain high technical standards and support day-to-day operations onsite at Maxability.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong ceramics technical knowledge who is passionate about inclusive arts practice and community engagement.
Role Details
Contract type: Freelance
Hours: Up to 14 hours per week (on average during term time)
Location: Onsite at the Flightways Resource Centre, London NW9 5UX
Pay: Hourly rate
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract length: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension

Person Specification
Essential:
Proven experience working in a ceramics or pottery studio environment
Strong technical knowledge of kiln operation, glaze preparation, and clay processes
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient studio
Desirable:
Experience working in inclusive or community arts settings
Understanding of accessibility and supporting disabled learners
Basic administrative and inventory management skills
